Electrical and Electronics Engineering

Electrical and Electronics is concerned with creating solutions to technologies that involve electrical science . Electronic engineering involves handling information, generally as electrical or optical signals, while electrical engineering is concerned with the use of electricity as a source of energy, In practice, there is considerable overlap and the department provides working knowledge in both disciplines.

The Department is proud to provide Applied Electronics and power Electronics as two Post Graduate programs. It has also undertaken research projects funded by AICTE and TAPTEC scheme. The hybrid solar power electrical car has been successfully completed at a cost of Rs. 7 lakhs . The department continues to associate with Tamilnadu Electricity Board, Tiruvannamalai Electrical system for testing and calibration of Transformer and Instrumentation systems.
