Electronics and Instrumentation Engineering

INTRODUCTION

Electronics and Instrumentation Engineering department of Arunai Engineering College was established in the year of 1999, due to the high demand for Instrumentation Engineers in various Industries, companies etc. So far ten batches have been successfully completed with flying colors. The department is accredited by AICTE, NBA in 2006, and New Delhi and has been reaccredited in 2009.

The department has also got a Computer Control Process lab, Process Control lab equipped with modern instruments, latest systems and software with internet facility. The Institute has excellent facilities for seminars, workshops, and training programmes.

Departmental Library has around 400 volumes with 225 titles covering all the major subjects of Electronics and Instrumentation Engineering.

The Department Computers labs have 25 computers equipped with LAB view, MATLAB software, and with internet facilities, printers, LCD Projects.

Department is committed to provide adequate industrial exposure to students and faculty members by organizing at least two industrial visits per year.

To prepare the students for successful careers in industries that meets the needs of Indian & Multinational Companies

To develop the intellectual strength of students and guide them towards technical advancement of focused research.

To help the students to identify and achieve their own personal potential and to enhance their ethical attitude, effective communication skills, team work ability, multidisciplinary approach and an ability to relate engineering issues to broader social context.

To provide the students with sound knowledge in mathematical, scientific and engineering fundamentals necessary to formulate, solve & analyze Engineering problems.

To enhance the leadership qualities and professional skills of the students and to prepare them to adapt themselves to the working environment and improve their management.

To set high standards of comprehensive education in Electronics and Instrumentation Engineering branch of study, by developing the intellectual strength of students and guiding them towards technical advancement and focused research.

Electronics and Instrumentation Engineering department strives to set new bench marks in imparting world class education to its students by ensuring inputs for professional excellence, interactive learning environment and industry orientation through its trained, qualified faculty, staff and providing excellent Lab facilities.

DEPARTMENT STRENGTHS

  • The department consists of a good number of faculty members, who have experience in teaching and research. This department has an experienced and energetic team of experts in fields of Embedded Systems, Process Control, VLSI Design, Power Electronics and Drives, etc.
  • Our department secured 5th place in branch wise university results–April/May 2011 examination, among the engineering colleges affiliated by  Anna university, Chennai.
  • Consistently our department students secured university ranks every year.
  • Many of our department students bagged prizes in Project Expo conducted by the various engineering colleges/universities.
  • Students are encouraged to undergo industrial training during the course of their academic program in order to instill in them, a thirst for the practical implementation of the various concepts learnt in the classroom.
