M.E. – Power Electronics & Drives

About the Programme
One of the PG course offered by the Department of Electrical & Electronics Engineering was established in the year 2005 which caters the needs of Academia and Industries in the area of Power Electronics Control and drive applications, both in full time and part time mode. Many Research Scholars from various engineering colleges around are also doing their courses.

List of Courses offered
Some of the courses taught under this programme are: Analysis of Electrical Machines, Analysis of Power Converters, Analysis of Inverters, Electromagnetic Field Computation and Modelling, Advanced power semiconductor devices, Solid state AC/DC drives, Special Electrical Machines, Power Quality, Wind Energy Conversion System and Power Electronics for Renewable Energy Systems etc

Assistance Provided
As a part of their curriculum, the students are encouraged to do their project in the renowned industries and Government R & D organizations. Visits to the need based industry/organizations are arranged.

Motivational Support
Toppers with more than 90% consistently are provided the fees waiver and awards are given annually. Publications in referred journals are also encouraged.

Students with a passion for technology are permitted to go for Internships in the reputed industries to get some working experience under their belt. Placement Assistance is also provided.
