The Deepam festive of Tiruvannamalai district faces many chaos. The work of Computer Science & Engineering Department from Arunai Engineering College, had a huge impact in managing the parking slots of the vehicles, during the festive. They digitalized the systematic approach of the car parking, with pre-booking sessions for their respective slots. This reduced the chaos and also reduced the unnecessary movements of the vehicles, which led to the decreased traffic. The Technical team of the Police department in Tiruvannamalai district, had started using Drone for surveillance.The faculty & student from Dept of CSE, AEC, had volunteered themselves to help and assist the Police department.So they learnt drone operation from the tech team and assisted the Police department during critical moments.

The crowd proliferation during the Deepam festive, will somehow depart the children from their parents during the Girivalam. This will complicates the situation and panic the people and the children as well. The initiative has been taken by Dept of CSE, AEC, to overcome this situation. They made a web application to find and protect such lost children, and hand them safely to their parents.They created a network of people who assisted the Police department with their skills. More than 100 children has been found using this web application.

The Police department has been following manual attendance from the beginning. The Department of Computer Science & Engineering, Arunai Engineering College, has taken an initiative to digitalize this mechanism using biometrics of every individuals. We implemented the Attendance Management System (AMS) and took the biometric of DPO staff and used it as a reference for the attendance and also provided technical support for the installation of the system.

They tried to establish a sophisticated system, to try and reduce complications during the festive. They established QR codes for parking systems and reduced lots of time for parking. The slots allocated for parking has also been increased in this year.

They tried to establish a sophisticated system, to try and reduce complications during the festive. They used the QR tags to register the children details and the entrance. The lost children tag represents their details and can be used to track their parents. More than 180 children has been found using this QR tags.

The Technical team of the Police department in Tiruvannamalai district, had started using Drone for surveillance. The Department of Computer Science & Engineering, Arunai Engineering College, had learnt drone operation from the technical team and assisted the Police department for the surveillance of the crowd during the Deepam Festive, especially on 7th day(07-12-19) of the festive. They monitored and assisted the Police department to identify and track malicious activities in the region.

The Department of Computer Science Engineering, Arunai Engineering College conducted an Drone Camp for school students The aim is to educate Drone Technology, Assembly, modifications and drone driving experience to school Students. This camp will enrich knowledge about how to competently and correctly pilot a drone to the school students.

COVID pandemic has been hectic for all the regions. Drone surveillance had a huge impact in maintaining the lockdown and ensure safety of the people. The Department of Computer Science & Engineering, Arunai Engineering College, had learnt drone operation from the technical team and assisted the Police department for the surveillance of quarantined zones, during events like protest, and throughout the lockdown. This had been a great technical support for the Police department.

The COVID quarantine has been hectic to analyse and protect the entire district. The Department of Computer Science & Engineering, Arunai Engineering College, had provided technical support, by generating entire analysis report, stating the exact situation of COVID pandemic in our district. They used google data studio, for analysis and used google maps to locate and pinpoint the quarantined regions.

The chatbot named “AecoBot”, serves to be the first stepping stone of the future engineers, which bestows, every moment prime factor of the Department of Computer Science & Engineering, Arunai Engineering College.“We rise by lifting others”, As per the saying, we are here to help the parents, to rise their offspring’s into an illuminating future. This chatbot can help the people, to learn and analyse various features of the Arunai Engineering College, enroll themselves through admission centres or website and choose the right path towards their destiny.

The Police department is under the requirement of analysing the feedback or complaints from the people to ensure that the services are provided in respective manner. The Department of Computer Science & Engineering, Arunai Engineering College, had provided the technical support to digitalize this mechanism and receive feedbacks from the people. This KIOSK feedback system categorizes the cops in every sub divisions. The people can choose the respective town/village and choose the specific cop who provided services for them. Later they can register their feedback or complaints, which will be received and monitored by higher officials of the Police department.

Every work of the Police department entirely has been a manual work from beginning. The Department of Computer Science & Engineering, Arunai Engineering College, has taken the initiative to digitalize the processes and enlighten the communication between the cops and people. They created a pilot project, named “TVM Police”, a mobile application, for various services such as women security, cops login and monitoring system, moral policing, spreading COVID awareness through chatbot and enormous information about the district.

In the Covid-19 pandemic situation, the people should sanitize their hands and check their body temperature frequently is necessary.The Department of Computer Science and Engineering, Arunai Engineering College had provided the two in one solution, they came up with an prototype model called "SMART MED ASSIST" which measure the temperature and sanitize the hand simultaneously to the people additionally store the temperature in sheets and generate the receipt filled with Id no, Name column and temperature.This system helps the medical workers to maintain social distance with the patients which helps in reduce the spread of corona virus. As a pilot project the module is implemented in Sai seva yoga nature cure Hospital and research centre by Dr. Ezhilmaran.

The Technical Team of Department of Computer Science and Engineering,Centre of Social Connectivity, Arunai Engineering College has taken major role in Contributing the live telecast of Karthigai Deepam Festival November 2021 in Arunachaleswara Temple,Tiruvannamalai. In this pandemic situation Thousands of devotees got an opportunity to view the festival through various social media which increase our social responsibility.
