Women Empowerment Committee
Women Cell of Arunai Engineering College is established with the aim of “towards self empowered mind“. Women Empowerment Committee is active in the college since 2019 to empower girl students, to enhance understanding of issues related to women and to make the college campus a safe place for women students and faculty members. It works for the welfare of the students and faculty towards preparing them in to competent professionals to take up greater challenges in the academic sphere.
To make the cell a unique platform for the development of its members, by providing them opportunities to contribute towards the betterment of the society.
The Women Cell shall strive to create a better and just society by empowering women.
To creating awareness about gender sensitization.
To make them aware of their rights
To promote a culture of respect and equality for female gender
To encourage women to undertake activities that strengthens their self-confidence.
The provision of opportunities and programs for girls and women to be financially, mentally and emotionally empowered to promote their growth as individuals in their own right.
Motivate them to make aware of their health, sports, self-defense etc.
To identify women with strong leadership qualities and to build their capacity.
Conducting various competitions to encourage their talents for creative thinking.
Counseling given for resident and non – resident students.
