The Networking Academy programme delivers Web-based content, online assessment, student performance tracking, hands-on-labs, instructor training and support, and preparation for industry standard certifications.
CCNA Certification
The CCNA Certification (Cisco Certified Network Associate) indicates a foundation in the apprentice knowledge of networking. CCNA certified professionals can install, configure, and operate LAN, WAN, and dial access services for small networks (100 nodes or fewer), including but not limited to use of these protocols: IP, IGRP, Serial, Frame Relay, IP RIP, VLANs, RIP, Ethernet, Access Lists.
Course Catalogue
The Arunai Cisco Networking Academy offers a variety of Cisco curriculums.
- IT Essentials
- CCNA Exploration
- IT Essentials I: PC Hardware and Software:
- IT Essentials: PC Hardware and Software v4.0 covers the fundamentals of computer hardware and software as well as advanced concepts. Students who complete this course will be able to describe the internal components of a computer, assemble a computer system, install an operating system, and troubleshoot using system tools and diagnostic software. Students will also be able to connect to the Internet and share resources in a network environment. New topics included in this version are laptops and portable devices, wireless connectivity, security, safety and environmental issues, and communication skills. Hands-on lab activities will continue to be an essential element of the course. In support of this, virtual learning tools are integrated into this course. The Virtual Laptop and Virtual Desktop are stand-alone tools designed to supplement classroom learning and provide an interactive "hands-on" experience in learning environments with limited physical equipment.
- IT Essentials II: Network Operating Systems:
- IT Essentials II: Network Operating Systems is an intensive introduction to multi-user, multi-tasking network operating systems. Characteristics of the Linux, Windows 2000, NT, and XP network operating systems will be discussed. CCNA Exploration:
The Cisco CCNA Exploration curriculum provides an integrated and comprehensive coverage of networking topics, from fundamentals to advanced applications and services, while providing opportunities for hands-on practical experience and soft-skills development. The curriculum teaches networking based on technology, covering networking concepts using a top- down, theoretical, and integrated approach from network applications to the network protocols and services provided to those applications by the lower layers of the network.
CCNA Exploration is designed for students with advanced problem solving and analytical skills. The curriculum offers a comprehensive and theoretical learning experience for analytical students, and uses language that aligns well with engineering concepts. Interactive activities are embedded in the curriculum, along with detailed, theoretical content.
Advanced labs build critical thinking and problem solving skills and encourage exploration and research.
