Our OWASP Community Arunai Engineering College was founded in September,2021. We organize Meetups, Webinar and Conferences. All these events are open, anyone who is interest can participate. We promote on Secure Application Development and share knowledge on Cyber Security. Join our mission to make Cyber Space a Better Place!

About

In order to expand the reach of information security across the campus, department of Computer Science and Engineering established the Cyber Security Club. The purpose of this club is to help and bring security education and awareness to all, so that individuals will learn how to secure their data as well as to protect themselves from cyber attacks and crime. This is done by providing trainings and awareness activities as well as participating in conferences, workshop, webinar and community service activities.

In addition, this club also provides an avenue for students who are in the program to foster relationships with their peers and to provide networking opportunities with those in the career field. Students are also participating in the National and International level competitions to prove their expertise which in turn helps to build relationships and confidence within themselves.

Cyber Security

Cybersecurity has become critical to the fabric of any modern business. As breach after breach hits the headlines, it's clear to everyone that organizations need more professionals focused on cybersecurity.

The Cybersecurity club will be set with a goal to teach individuals about cybersecurity and help them gain their knowledge necessary to arm themselves against modern-day computer exploits. The club is open to everybody at so no matter what experience level or major they are.

This club will help to start and maintain a culture in the institute which will go a long way in helping students of current and future batches.

Moto of Club

The club aims to cover different areas related to cyber security like network security, penetration testing, secure coding, cryptography, and reverse engineering.

To present interactive demonstrations with vulnerable web applications and make them learn about different tools and resources to look for.

To demonstrate the experts’ approach to a problem through different platforms like youtube and others.

Help the students master all tools by hands-on session and different competitions.

Future Plans of the Club

Host Workshops in the institute for skill development and experience.

Host talks by local companies and organizations’ security experts on specific topics of interest.

Conduct competitions within the Institute.

Participate in various colleges’ technical events and online events and represent our college through the club
