A mind map is a diagrammatic way to represent ideas and concepts.
It shows the hierarchical relationships among the pieces of the thought.
It captures the thinking that goes on inside our brain.
It simply represents the diagram that allows you to visually represent information.
It is a versatile technique which captures ideas in the way of creativity.
It is often created around a single concept, drawn as an image in the blank page.
Use
It hepls to visualize the concepts and organize information.
It helps students to relate the concepts.
It can be used to classify ideas, and act as an aid to learn.
It also allows students to remember key points
It helps to know how key points are connected directly to the concept and segregates the ideas.
It helps the students in structuring the information.
It motivates the students to analyze, comprehend, synthesize, recall and generate ideas about the concept.
Procedure
Mind map is a very different, but complementary technique which concerned with the organization of ideas and relationship between concepts.
The term concept is any word or phrase that has technical meaning which is relevant to the topics.
The concepts are linked with arrows and word explains the link.
The direction of the arrow indicates the way in which the sentence should read.
Activity Procedure
Teacher explained the particular concepts/topic in classroom within 30 minutes
Based on the discussion and after clarifying the doubts raised by the students, the teacher asked the students to draw a mind map related to the topic which ever discussed earlier within 10 minutes.
Each student drawn a mind map based on their understanding level of the particular topic (Implementation levels of Virtualization).
Teacher chosen 2 students randomly from each row and asked them to explain whatever they drawn in their paper within another 10 minutes.
Help students to recall the topic discussed on the particular day, generate the new idea about the topic and they easily answered the questions from this topic during the exam by their own way.
